Harmony Intelligence Raises USD$3M to Protect Against AI-Powered Cyber Threats

The AI threat landscape is shifting fast. AI isn’t just transforming industries—it’s also arming cyberattackers with new capabilities that outpace traditional defenses. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that Harmony Intelligence has raised USD$3 million in seed funding to accelerate  building AI-powered defenses that stay ahead of AI-driven threats.

AI is changing the cyber landscape

AI-powered attacks are advancing at an unprecedented rate. Deepfake scams, AI-generated phishing attempts, and autonomous hacking tools are no longer futuristic threats—they’re happening now. Over half of businesses in the U.S. and U.K. have already been targeted by deepfake scams, with 43% falling victim. Take the recent case of UK engineering firm Arup, where fraudsters used AI-generated deepfake technology to impersonate senior executives, leading to a $25 million theft.

What we're building

We established ourselves as a trusted safety evaluator for leading AI labs and governments, contributing to the testing of frontier models in areas such as autonomy and cybersecurity. This includes supporting the International Network of AI Safety Institutes, an international government effort, with cybersecurity capability testing of frontier AI models, as well as a recent briefing of the Australian Senate on emerging AI risks.

Now, we're leveling the playing field by building defensive cybersecurity technologies that stay ahead of AI-powered cyber threats, ensuring businesses and organizations are protected as AI cyber capabilities continue to advance at an exponential pace.

We're building AI-enabled cyber defenses such as AI penetration testing systems that continuously probe security defenses, identify vulnerabilities, and reinforce protections before attackers can strike.

Our team

Our world-class team is made up of deeply experienced startup builders, managers, and engineers from orgs including Plaid, Vow, 0x, Duke University, and MATS.

Soroush (CEO) established Plaid's first cybersecurity team, protecting the company from constant cyberattacks, including attempted credential stuffing attacks and network breaches. He went on to serve as Head of Technology at biotech startup Vow, leading a 35-person product R&D team.

Alex (CTO) worked as a tech lead at 0x Labs and Edge Analytics, developing security-critical blockchain systems and ML systems for customers including Google X.

Our investors

Our Seed round is led by Airtree Ventures with participation from more than 30 strategic investors, including First Row Partners, Maxwell Capital, Eric Ries, the CEO of Adept AI, former CTO of Plaid, and Canva's Head of Global AI Policy. Our investors bring expertise across AI, cybersecurity, go-to-market, product, engineering, and more to help us bring dependable and delightful cybersecurity products to customers around the world.
